TRIAL: Palgrave Connect e-books

We have a trial of a few Palgrave Connect e-book collections until Janury 4th 2010:

Business & Management Collection 2009
Economics & Finance Collection 2009
Political & International Studies Collection 2009
Social & Cultural Studies Collection 2009
History Collection 2008

For off-campus access please use Internet Explorer in the Office or Web folders of AppsAnywhere. We would of course configure EZproxy access if we were to buy content on Palgrave Connect.

These are really just to give us an opportunity to try out the Palgrave Connect e-books platform. On Palgrave Connect you can download entire e-books as a PDF document, and there are no Digital Rights Management restrictions on copying or printing (though copyright law still applies of course!)

Futher collections are also available (but without trial access) in:

Literature & Performing Arts
Language & Linguistics
Religion and Philosophy

We buy a higher proportion of published titles in the Literature & Performing Arts area than any other so these might be the most likely for us to purchase.

Collections are sold by subject and year on publication, with the earliest collections going back to 2000. For a list of all the collections, see
http://www.palgraveconnect.com/pc/browse/catalog.

We would welcome your comments on the functionality of the platform and the range of titles available.

After trying Palgrave Connect please leave your comments below. You can choose the anonymous option to comment without needing to have a Blogger account, but it helps if you include your name in your feedback so that we can follow up on comments. Please be specific about which collections (subject areas and years) you are most interested in.
