More Nature journals now available

We have added more Nature Publishing Group e-journals to our collection for 2011. You can now access:

Nature Communications - publishes high-quality papers from all areas of science that represent important advances within specific scientific disciplines, but that might not necessarily have the scientific reach of papers published in Nature and the Nature research journals. For papers that could satisfy the scope of more than one Nature journal, the choice of which journal to submit to first lies with the authors. If a paper is rejected from one Nature journal, the authors can use an automated manuscript transfer service to submit the paper to Nature Communications via a link sent to them by the editor handling the manuscript.

Multi-Science e-journals collection now available

We now have access to all of the journals published by Multi-Science Publishing. We have licenced this collection as part of the Knowledge Exchange initiative.

We previously subscribed to 5 Multi-Science journals:

but our online access only extended back to the year that our subcription started.

This new collection provides access to all available years (usually back to 1999 or 2000) and currently includes 9 additional titles:

The agreement is due to last until 31st December 2011 but we are free to opt-out at the end of 2009 or 2010.

TheScientificWorldJournal now available

We now have access to the multidiscplinary science e-journal TheScientificWorldJournal. This journal has been made freely available to all HE and FE institutions and Research Councils as part of the Knowledge Exchange initiative, following central funding from JISC Collections.

The journal covers science subjects raging from biomedicine to environmental sciences with selected articles grouped together by subject in domains and clusters.

The agreement provides us with access to all articles published since the journal launched, and runs until 31st December 2011. At the end of 2011, JISC Collections will renew the agreement, continuing to make the 2001 to 2011 content freely available.
