TRIAL: Digital Research Collections for 20th Century History

Three online collections of original documents for 20th Century History research are available for trial until 18th November 2007:

Conditions and Politics in Occupied Western Europe, 1940-1945 offers fully-text searchable images of the British Foreign Office information files gathered from across German-occupied territories following the collapse of peacetime diplomacy.

Post-War Europe: Refugees, Exile and Resettlement 1945-1950 is a new online collection of primary source materials which covers the international politics leading to the administration, care, repatriation and emigration of the Displaced Persons (DPs) as well as the plight of the survivors of the Holocaust and World War Two, and their reintroduction to life and community.

Testaments to the Holocaust is an online searchable database of rare material from The Weiner Library, London, which provides documentary evidence for the study of Nazi Germany and its crimes against Jews from many perspectives.

To access any of these trials, go to and follow the prompts. (You will be asked to enter your name, institution and email address).

After using any of these resources, please leave a comment ensuring that you mention which product(s) you are referring to.
