TRIAL: BrowZine

University of Liverpool Staff and students will be able to use the BrowZine app for 30 days from 3rd February 2015.

BrowZine is a publisher-neutral reading and discovery platform, providing a new way to discover, browse, read and monitor scholarly journals on a tablet or mobile device.

To use BrowZine:

1. Download BrowZine by going to the app store on your device and searching for 'browzine'. Its a free download! (For links to download the app for Apple, Android and KindleFire, see http://thirdiron.com/download/).
2.  Next, find ‘University of Liverpool’ in the list.
3.  You will be prompted to login; use your University of Liverpool username and password
4.  BrowZine will take a few moments to set up your library for initial use, by synchronizing University of Liverpool holdings to the BrowZine server

That's it - you're done!

At some point during set up, you will prompted to create a ‘BrowZine Sync Account’. This is optional, but allows you to synch a My Bookshelf collection of saved journals across all several devices, and also saves it in case the app is deleted and re-installed.

Important: If you already are running the Open Access Publishers Only version of BrowZine, you will need to first logout of your current library, in order to be able to select University of Liverpool.  To do this, select "Settings" at the bottom of the screen and then in the Settings panel, choose "Logout" from the top right hand corner. This will put you back at the list of institutions.

After trying BrowZine please leave your comments below. You can choose the anonymous option to comment without needing to have a Blogger account, but it helps if you include your name in your feedback so that we can follow up on comments. Do get in touch, we really want to know what you think about this resource.
