TRIAL: Phaidon Atlas

The Library has obtained a trial of new online architectural database Phaidon Atlas until 4th June 2014, and encourages staff and students to review this new resource. Let us know whether you find this resource useful or not?

Access this resource from
http://ezproxy.liv.ac.uk/login?url=http://phaidonatlas.com/university-liverpool/register
(University login is required off campus).  You will need to register individually with Phaidon Atlas in order to access the trial.

Based on the Phaidon Atlas of Architecture books, the new website features a growing list of over 3000 examples of contemporary architects work, built since the year 2000.  Search and browse for architecture by building type, location, materials, building environment, structure and more.  Each project is accompanied by technical drawings, sketches and photographs, and the site includes information about the architects behind the buildings.

After trying Phaidon Atlas please leave your comments below. You can choose the anonymous option to comment without needing to have a Blogger account, but it helps if you include your name in your feedback so that we can follow up on comments. Do get in touch, we really want to know what you think about this resource.

Looks really useful, would be great if we had this as a resource.
Helpful to our projects, we could search quickly what other architectures have done in similar situations or using the same material.
Especially because it has working drawings and unlike journals a similar project can easily be found.
PLEASE GET IT!
