TRIAL: Counseling and Psychotherapy Transcripts

University of Liverpool staff and students have trial access to ‘Counseling and Psychotherapy Transcripts’ Volumes I and II, until 22nd November 2015.

To access this trial go to:

Counseling and Psychotherapy Transcripts: Volume I

Counseling and Psychotherapy Transcripts: Volume II

(login required).

This  resource is available in two volumes.  It enables students and researchers to look closely at the client-therapist relationship and understand the nature of that relationship over several therapy sessions.   Through this resource students are able to witness the treatment processes of therapists and consider the outcomes of the treatment.   Researchers are able to make real-life observations, draw data-driven conclusions and compare therapeutic methods in relation to the client’s outcome.

Counselling and psychotherapy transcripts series includes approximately 6,000 transcripts of actual therapy sessions, 40, 000 pages of client narratives and 25,000 pages of references works in a cross-searchable interface.  All of the transcripts are provided by hundreds of practicing therapists worldwide and they all satisfy the American psychological Association’s Ethics Guidelines for use and anonymity.

Staff and students are encouraged to take advantage of this resource during the trial and to provide feedback.  This will enable the Library to assess the usefulness of this resource.   After trying the Counseling and Psychotherapy Transcripts, please leave your comments below. You can choose the anonymous option to comment without needing to have a Blogger account, but it helps if you include your name in your feedback so that we can follow up on comments
