TRIAL: Routledge Handbooks Online

Routledge Handbooks Online (RHO) is a new platform providing access to Routledge Handbooks, Companions and Worlds publications. Content is displayed by chapter and the search functionality enables users to navigate easily to content across 18 subjects. RHO will have 325 handbooks available on launch, split into 18 subject collections. All content is free of digital rights management in respect of the downloading of content and printing and is available to unrestricted numbers of concurrent users.

From a Communication and Media perspective, I can see little value in this trial. Although over 700 texts are available, almost all are either focused on narrow areas of the subject or represent very arcane case studies. Consequently, this is not a resource likely to offer much for students (or staff) seeking to research issues or subjects unless they get very lucky indeed.
