Workshop for Research Students and Staff
We all use Google but most of the time we simply tap in a string of search terms
and hope for the best, it's a hit and miss process at best!
Using Google to supplement finding research information requires a more
structured search to obtain quality results and, while this is easy with
academic databases, with a search engine like Google things are not so
This session will outline, with some live searches, how using search strategy
techniques and Google's range of search options can improve your searching.
Note: This is NOT a hands on session.
Time and Place: Thursday 16th May, 12:00pm - 1:00pm, Wolfson Suite, Harold
This event relates to the Knowledge and intellectual abilities domain of the
Researcher Development Framework.
Places on this workshop are limited and must be booked in advance. Please REGISTER to book your place.
