Resource of the week: Times Digital Archive, 1785 to 2006

What is it?
The Times Digital Archive, 1785-2006, includes every page as published from over 200 years of The Times. The Times is the "world's newspaper of record" and covers all major international historical events from the French Revolution to the Falkland War. The full-text of the entire newspaper is searchable, including articles, editorials, and advertising.

Why use it?
For anyone doing research with an historical angle, this is a fantastic resource. It can be used both as a source of information and as an object of research in its own right. Read contemporary accounts of major historical events, check facts, or identify and follow trends in subjects as diverse as crime, business, leisure and entertainment, politics, and many more.
