Key medical e-textbooks now available – including Kumar & Clark

Following the successful trial last year of a new initiative from Elsevier which saw the launch of many of their key medical/nursing textbooks as e-books, the Library has now purchased a one year subscription to a selection of these titles. All are titles that appear on students reading lists and as such this package represents an important step forward in providing improved access to key resources. The following titles can now all be accessed electronically from the Library catalogue:

Abbas Cellular and Molecular Immunology
Baynes and Dominiczak Medical Biochemistry
Dandy Essential Orthopaedics and Trauma
Garden Principles and Practice of Surgery
Greenwood Medical Microbiology
Scambler Sociology as Applied to Medicine
Schoenwolf Larsen's Human Embryology
Turnpenny & Ellard Emery's Elements of Medical Genetics
Dorland Dorland's Illustrated Medical Dictionary
Magowan Clinical Obstetrics and Gynaecology
Lim et al. Medicine & Surgery

All titles can be accessed by unlimited numbers of people at the same time, and all are available off-campus via EZproxy as usual.
