I have used Factiva before, exclusively as a source of newspaper content. The breadth of newspaper coverage is huge, and has always been the main thing I recommend it for (never having worked with business / management students, who'd be after the business information). The main problem with it is the clunkiness of the search interface. You really need to know what you're doing to use it, and many users I suspect would get impatient with it. For the newspaper content, though, it's tough to beat.

The interface is much improved from previous versions and the presence of The Wall Street Journal and the FT back to the early '80s makes Factiva an extremely useful tool.
